Collections I and II
I like drawing on driftwood, and I like making collections of things I find on the beach along with the driftwood. I usually leave the pieces of driftwood next to the information sign in the car park for people to take home.

Beaches by Bicycle
I didn't get far at all on my bicycle. Just north of Bunmahon to be exact which is pathetic. But I was in no rush, the sun was hot and I also visited Stage Cove which I have never seen before and sat on the cliffs overlooking Bunmahon Bay, amid the wonderfully perfumed burnet roses that grow there with their bright orange pollen. In Bunmahon, I stopped at the Copper Coast Geopark cafe which is in a disused church and very sweet. I bought a Magnum ice lolly to help with the hill outside Bunmahon and it did the job perfectly.

Beach Crawl
I did a beach crawl yesterday from Ballydowane to Kilfarassy. I could have continued on into Tramore but I went to Lidl instead and did some shopping - which is what I was meant to be doing. I'm going to do the same today, excluding the shopping, on my bike - or at least try. Some of the hills on that coast road are very steep.

More Hot Sand
Another (rare) hot day with hardly a breeze on my bit of Ballydowane. The sea was still cold but if I had my togs with me I think I would have risked it. Instead, I sat and sweltered. The sand burned my feet and the sea was so calm that the waves could hardly be bothered to break on the shore.
I found part of a lobster. It was red so had been cooked and found its way onto the beach somehow. One of the antennae was in the seaweed next to it and I managed to extricate it whole and bring it home.
